London Fashion Week may be about to swing in the city of London but over in leafy Kew, the sixties were swinging at Louise Selby’s shoot. The gardens of Kew are at their best in the golden light of early autumn and provided the perfect backdrop for a shoot.
The auburn haired Hannah T from First Models looked every inch like Jean Shrimpton in the new Sunflower gown, a light zibeline slash necked sheath dress with a grosgrain bow. She carried a bouquet of yellow and white daisies by Kew based florist, Zita Elze. Her hair, a soft chignon that perfectly balanced her fringe, was by Severin Hubert of Hepburn Collection and the look was finished by makeup by Abigail Alexander. Nobu Yamaguchi made time in his busy schedule, between London and Tokyo, to photograph the new 2015 collection.
The six new designs feature three romantic dresses with the signature lace that Louise is known for, with fuller skirts from tulle and chiffon, as well as three sixties’ inspired frocks detailed with guipure lace. The Petunia short dress with a long lace train, was the team’s favourite.
Thanks to Lady Wright and Mr and Mrs Pethwick of Kew Green, for the loan of their gardens.
